How to Help

Picture
Ideas for Fundraisers

  • Have a Raffle - get Donated items to Raffle off
  • Have a Plant Sale - and do a beutification project in your community
  • Host a Dinner - Have a Spaghetti Dinner or a Fish Fry at a local Church.

How some have raised money to donate:

  • Cory R - I was recently asked to babysit. Not knowing what to charge, I asked for a donation to our cause. The parent was very generous and gave $70!
I'm happy to help with chores and babysitting, etc. Donations for my time in exchange!

  • Helen B  donating the cost of two Dessert first tickets
  • Joannie G asking all her friends to donate to the legal fund instead of getting her retirement gifts.
  • Girls asking for donations instead of Birthday Presents

Donate a Raffle item:

A raffle item can be ANYTHING that other people are likely to want

People who come up with baskets these tell me that there is generally one "main" item and several smaller items that kinda go along with it.

In the past we've had gardening baskets (with a gardening bench, gloves, and seeds), chocolate baskets (just a bunch of chocolate--always popular), a random assortment of craft supplies, picture frames and camp pictures, handy kitchen items.

It's also OK to have single items NOT in a basket. We've had lots of small appliances, one-of-kind collector's items, art, antiques.   The more variety, the more fun the raffles/ auctions.
